It isn't too surprising. To make up for years of crap treatment, aboriginal folks get a big pile of bonuses from the Government (hopefully I'm not talking shit here, that would be embarrassing). As usual with this sort of thing, it prompts a "you come here, steal our jobs" type whinge from a pretty big slice of the white populace.
