Funny - it also took me 2 days to get to Japan (by plane from Santiago ... via: Miami, LA ... and Alaska). Ferry from China sound hugely preferable.
If you ever fancy doing some more exploring in Europe give me a call - a quick for instance ... I'll be driving from Lux to Italy on 25th, staying the weekend, working in Milan the following Monday, Zurich Tuesday ... and then back to Lux for Wednesday. So Friday flight to Milan, Tuesday (or maybe later) flight back from Zurich ... or any airport between there and Lux. I know the most amazing seafood restaurant in Viacenza and an equally good game restaurant in Kufstein.
I want to go back to Asia ... but that'll have to wait until next year. (p.s. I'm up to country 44 (most recently Andorra) - only another 174 to go)!!!
