You'll have discovered by now - as I did - that for all their initial enthusiasm, people lose interest quite rapidly if you're doing things that they're not doing. The longer I was in America, the less people in the UK cared. Your travel writing just gets better and better, but people have less and less to say in the comments anyway, right?
I think what people must really want out of a travel writer is someone who doesn't really enjoy being abroad at all, and keeps harping on about how things are better at home. That'd go down a treat...
