From my coach seat, on Sunday's journey home, I couldn't help but notice the lit-up rooms of the houses lining each side of the road, and how many had bookshelves and cabinets lined with volume upon volume, and it made me think that perhaps Oxford is a place where books come home to roost. That Oxford attracts books perhaps?
