I think when I did it I wrote 14000 words in the last two days, without sleeping that night, and with drifting in and out of consciousness during the last 5000 words or so, and yet when I finished I stayed up for another several hours afterwards. Finishing a novel (well, apart from the proofing and all that) is surprisingly invigorating isn't it.
