There was a character in the very great OURPGSoc society game Inferno went by the name of Melusine. Presumably a homage to the same thing...

Um. Ancestor of the royal house of Luxembourg, and a couple of others. Book by Christabel LaMoat (LaMotte? La Motte? La Moot?).
That's all that's listed in my head. I'm avoiding google for now, but curiousity will soon get the better of me.
