There was no natural light. Only fluorescent purplish glow prickling on her skin (cancer, she thought, looking down at her hands bleached greyish-yellow). She wondered if her colleagues had noticed how edgy she was, how she was grinding her teeth and snapping at everyone, or the huge sledgehammer she'd brought in in her handbag this morning. She wondered what they'd think when she smashed a hole in the wall.
