The story ran aground halfway through. The characters suddenly shut up and looked bashful. Thousands of times before, I've stopped at this point. I have folders stuffed with half-stories. Just then some students began to scuffle behind me, knocking over chairs, and as supervisor I turned around and shouted at them. They sat down meekly. I turned my irritation back to the story, forced it through. Finished it.
I admit it, I cheated. I went on after the timer ran out and finished what I wanted to say. It took about a minute and a half. But it would have been a contradiction to leave this particular one unfinished :)
