Another visitor from urban_decay dropped by to see more pictures. It is always nice to see pictures from the UK, especially of nature claiming a place where man thought he had conquered all with industrialisation. There is something special about abandoned railway structures.
I wandered around the remains of what used to be a major station in Sheffield back when it had 2 of the things the other week, pictures are here: http://jez.fotopic.net/show_collection.php?id=106683
They aren't as good as your pictures mind. I plan to go looking for old railway lines around here in the summer (there is one which used to cut through the peak district to Manchester). Maybe if I am ever in London for long enough I could wander over to the Parkland Walk.
Have just realised that this walk runs to Alexandra Palace, which is where I am going to be in a week and a bit. Shame I will be too busy to go and wander though. Maybe I'll be able to grab the odd bit of time.
