Ia! Ia!

There was a guy sitting opposite me on this morning's tube, slightly tubby, green fleece. He was reading H. P. Lovecraft. He got off at Finsbury Park and a tall, skinny skater guy with a Rough Trade bag sat down in his vacated seat, then took out a book - which turned out to be H. P. Lovecraft.

And I wondered, what if this goes on all day?

Never mind what happens if is does go on all day - what dreadful, unthinkable thing might happen if it doesn't?

Interesting thought for a short story. Books that must be constantly read, in order to keep them fictional. Because that gives the story itself a meta-level above that.

Ah

Its an espionage drop, you give your message to the guy reading the H.P. Lovecraft book. Its a conspiracy you know....
