I prefer not to equate number of comments with how interested people are :) I read good things every day which are brilliantly written and which I enjoy, but that doesn't mean I've got anything to add. And there's only so many times you can say 'wow, Seattle/China/wherever sounds fascinating'.
I certainly heard lots of people discussing your journal while you were away!
Probably the only thing I still miss about Mono is the diary log. That was fun.
