deviUgh, I'm obviously out of practice.
'There's far too many adverbs in this', she said [sheepishly], and cringed [pitifully] as the plague of adverbs squirmed [sneakily] from the cracks between the words, laughing [nastily]. 'Tell you what, never mind that post, I'll just go and put up the answers to the lyrics quiz instead,' she went on [hastily].

The keypad beeped disagreeably. Not authorised to enter. I swiped my card again, bending it one way and then the other, looking frantically about for someone to tailgate. I was already late; this was ridiculous. I waved wildly at a distant figure in surgical scrubs at the other end of the corridor. He walked on, staring distractedly at something else, his valid swipecard bouncing slightly.
