I liked my rejection haiku too - but was forced to discard it on the purist grounds that "housemate" does not in fact have three syllables. Foolish machine!

There is that, but I seem to remember hearing that 5-6-5 is an acceptable form for a haiku as well as 5-7-5. I don't really believe them, but what the heck, it made me laugh.
