08:47 God, that poster urging shoppers to report people "studying the cctv cameras" to the police makes my hands itch for a paintball gun. #

11:05 Over land to Ireland for my cousin's wedding. Bowling gently through Wales in sun and showers. SO MUCH NICER THAN FLYING #

17:08 On ferry deck sailing into dublin bay, being buffeted by wind, silver sun rays slanting through cloud over the city. Frozen but enthralled. #

Those ads are awful, aren't they? They make of think of Nightwatch on Babylon 5 (which makes me think of historical fascism, though the posters don't directly)

I wonder could you get the ASA after them? Who was arrested due to stuff found in bins or looking at CCTV?

They make me sad. And angry. And sad. And yes, definitely Nightwatchy. I remember the feeling of encroaching doom I had during that bit of B5. It's very like how I feel now :(

Awww, I loved that ferry journey. We had slanted sun and beautiful skies on the way into Dublin Bay too. Magical.

Yeah, it was lovely. And I arrived in Dublin all chilled and happy instead of frayed and feeling like a rat running a maze. I thought of you and your post about your sea journey!

Hint: Don't fly Ryanair.

Well, yeah, but other airlines are nearly as bad with surprise charges and stuff. It was so much more relaxing doing it this way. Seriously, I spent the whole journey gazing out windows at daffodils and buds and rainbows.
