Bargains Galore

Wahey, here we go, a round of ebay auctions. I'm selling off some of my old tradgoth clothes and accessories for starters. Pictures behind the cut tags. Buy! Buy! Buy! All hail the free market! Capitalism rules! Greed is good and consumerism will save us all! Ahem.

Red satin ankle-length pixie boots

Red velvet top with incredibly drapey sleeves

Cyber PVC skirt with purple arrow things and lots of buckles

Black net veil with flowers and feathers on the headpiece

Long, layered, swirly lace and satin skirt

They're all very cheap, too.
:)

That red top looks lovely on you - kind of a pity to get rid really.

Wow. Okay. You really do resemble my ex-girlfriend, Star. *blinks* I haven't seen you in about three years, so I thought I was just transposing a familiar image on top of a mostly forgotten one.

Good stuff. I wish you the best selling it!

Thank you both, for the compliment and the good wishes. I have just been launched into a state of hyper excitement by the fact that two people have bid already. Woohoo!

Must... resist... temptation to bid...

[identity profile] bluedevi.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 02:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, come on. The veil would look just fabulous on you. ;>

(Plus, anything you bid on and win, I can borrow back if I change my mind. Heh heh.)

I'm almost inclined to bid on the veil, actually ;-) Although a black one wouldn't go with my currently planned colour scheme ;-)

But if you convince [livejournal.com profile] verlaine to buy it, can you convince him to lend it to me too?

[identity profile] bluedevi.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 02:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Seriously folks: If it's a more traditional veil you're looking for, there are lots more if you just search by the word 'veil'. Colours other than white too, as far as I can see.

But what would I wear to any weddings I went to in the next year or so, if people borrowed my lovely veil?

Ooh! Sell it to him, and then make him wear it to my wedding ;-)

Second-hand consumerism saves the planet, too :-)

oh my word!!!

Don't you realise you've committed the fatal ebay error of appearing in your own 'stock' photographs?

It is now only a matter of minutes before some crinkly-faced millionaire lothario emails you to ask how much he needs to bid for you!

It'll be like that film with Robert Redford and Demi Moore all over again...

Take my word for it. I know.

(I went for £7.42 by the way, though I should clarify I was 'buy now' for £15.)

Pah. No bog-standard millionaire can compete with the fabulous wealth a bloke in Morocco offered my mum for me. 35 white camels.

(My mum played along and said sorry, she couldn't afford to build stables for them all in our back garden.)

Hmm. Is this a recognised ebay issue? Do people get harassed?

Naaah, it's just me being a twit.

Even if people don't get harrassed, are you comfortable with the idea of strangers having uncommunicated lacivious (sp?) thoughts about you?

Hmm, interesting question. If I was selling, say, lingerie or swimsuits or nipple piercing jewellery I certainly wouldn't be modelling it myself ;> However, I'm fully clothed in all the pictures, and if I was bothered by the idea of strangers having lascivious thoughts on seeing fully clothed me, I'd either get a burka or never go outside again.
