Gosh
So it looks like I'm going to Eastercon. How peculiar. My last big convention was Eastercon 1999, I think. (I did a lot of filksinging, discovered real cider, thought 'Hey, this is really mild,' then stood up and promptly fell over.) But I haven't really thought of myself as part of the fandom for a very long time. I don't even read much sci-fi any more. (Well, except for 'Falling Out Of Cars', which is sitting on my bedside table calling me a liar). It's going to be a bit like the returning-expat feeling.
But though I've been away so long, there are some things you can rely on not to have changed. I bet you without even looking at the program that there's going to be a panel called 'Is SF Dead?'

In any case, I don't think that there's much chance of getting the two of you confused ;-)

And it means I can have the house to myself next weekend. Bonus. I can run around naked without anyone disturbing me. Or just get on with revision.
