Goth trance = what passes for EBM nowadays. I don't know how widespread the term is, but it seems to describe it quite well. Imagine unfiltered mid-90s trance with a lot of the bottom end taken out, the beats rigidified even further and a german vocalist standing next to a wind machine while bellowing on in a vaguely epic manner and you're pretty much there.
