When you say "What's the point of *my* life?" do you mean [livejournal.com profile] bluedevi's life, or [livejournal.com profile] clarisinda's life?

[identity profile] bluedevi.livejournal.com 2005-04-18 04:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm, that is ambiguous. I suppose I meant my own, but hearing what other people think about the purpose of *their* lives is just as interesting, so I don't mind how people read it.

"You get born, you keep your head down, and then you die. If you're lucky there might be something good on the telly in between."

You my man.

Ah, well, I took the *my* to refer to myself, so please don't be offended by my reply to that question coz it's relevant only to me! Hello, by the way, tubewalker insists I add you to my friends, which I'm happy to do if that's ok with you?

Feel free. And life sometimes feels that way to me too...

Seeing your icons next to each other is… well, I’m not sure what it is, but it made me smile :-)

Having read my answers after everybody else's, I feel like the British ambassador who is asked by a newspaper what his Christmas wish is, and not wishing to appear greedy asks for a pipe and slippers, then discovers the rest of the invitees have wished for world peace, an end to injustice etc...

Still, I stand by my answer - I believe a significant proportion of the problems of everyday life can be solved with chocolate cheesecake. If the chocolate cheesecake in question is from Waitrose, the proportion rises to "nearly all".

I meant what I said about "sparkling wit" incidentally - it isn't just a cheap Spoonerism. Though if you have any idea what activity the verb "wharkling" might refer to, I'd be fascinated to know...

No, you're right, chocolate cheesecake is Important. Amusingly enough, [livejournal.com profile] lostcarpark directly below is also a great appreciator of cheesecake.

I couldn't think of anything sensible, so I just went into surreal mode. Sorry.

One fish! Two fish! Red fish! Blue fish!

Is there any significance to the fact that a partial anagram of your name is "UNDEAD EIRE"?

Is the the whole "meaning of life" thing some kind of elegant witticism from The Other Side?

And on a related subject, do Irish Goths sing about the Forty Shades of Black?

[identity profile] bluedevi.livejournal.com 2005-04-18 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)
They certainly *complain* about the Forty Shades of Black, because that's what you get when you've washed your favourite black garments several times. They end up browny-black or greeny-black or bluish-black or greyish-black or... well, you get the idea.

your icon is on my journal. I'm hoping you missed it under the cut rather than hated it : ). See you tomorrow!
