Hmm. I've just looked through my interests and realised they're out of date. There are things in there that really don't seem to be part of me any more. I think it's time they were pruned a bit.
So what will get the chop?
clairol no. 122: I haven't dyed my hair for nearly three years now. Gosh. Half my hair is brown now, and that's more than half a foot of hair.
ebm: though I still love a few of the bands, I haven't heard an EBM song I liked in quite a while now.
new model army and dream disciples: nor have I listened to either of these in absolutely ages, though I still think they're good.
*stands back and scrutinises the list* Can we say post-goth?
And there's ian mcewan, who gets the boot because I could never get to the end of 'Atonement', even though he messes up the nice post-goth pattern.
Could this be a meme? This is how it could work: choose five interests you'd be willing to get rid of, list them and tell us why. It would be interesting to see how people change.

I love detective stories but this character is the King of them all.
Loreena McKennit
Can't get enough of her version of the Lady of Shallott among other things.
The Sisters of Mercy
because I haven't completely got over goth yet.
Roger Zelazy
Still one of my favourite authors, although by all accounts this is only because I haven't read the second Amber series.
Tori Amos
Because she is a genius and a feminist. Oh and her music is great too.
