Livejournal Choose Your Own Adventure: It's coming along. Hopefully I'll be able to post up the first few bits in maybe a week. I'd like some of the threads to be longer before we start, in case they improbably turn out to be the wildly popular ones.

Pennydreadfuls: So I've quixotically decided to do four new PD chapters *along with* the CYOA novel. I've been switching between them, it makes my head sore, but I've got one done and should finish the second chapter tonight. I might start posting them up in December, so I'll always be four weeks ahead. Or that's the theory.

Random acts of Wodehouseness: Several more letters dropped since the last Great Big Table. Proper update on that to come. I need to sit down and write to about another dozen of you. But - and this made my day - [livejournal.com profile] kasku got her letter, replied with one of her own left on the W3 bus, and I got it this morning!

The postmark seems to say "Greenford". Hmm. Those of you who got yours, and who have them to hand - can you make out the postmark on them?

Mix CD: Stalled while the iMac's been offline in the spodhole. But I've got Thursday off, so I can haul it back into the livingroom and download some mp3s. Those of you who kindly offered to put some up for me, I'll give you a mail to arrange - thanks. And thanks very much also to the people who said they'd send me a mix.

Oof. I am far too busy.

I wasn't reading you back then, so I disclaim responsibility. But I plead that a) the plot is very different, and doesn't feature a dashing young rake looking rather like your good self; b) it's not so much an idea as a whole genre, and I know of maybe ten people on the Nano site who are writing a CYOA.

But maybe it's the doing-it-on-LJ bit that's the killer app, so when I start putting the sections up, I could put a link to yours and point out that you did it first?

Heh, no, it's alright, Ii wasn't being serious or seriously miffed or anything like that. Much like most of the rest of my journal, that was just something I improvised to get through the working day.

Oo. Do they have themes?

The first one doesn't really have a theme as such. It started off with the general 'idea' of disco, and proceeded from there. It's very cool and quite danceable. The second one definitely does have a theme - I thought it would be fun to put together an album where all the songs have BDSM themes. It ended up being very interesting and atmospheric.

Greenford?! Where on Earth is that?! :-D

Mine had a disappointingly local postmark if I remember correctly. I do recall checking to see if it said Wales or anything remarkable like that.

By the looks of things it's somewhere near Ealing!

How exciting! It went on a trip!! In actual fact I forgot to leave it on the W3 so I ended up leaving it in an estate agent's office in the public waiting area instead. That was Muswell Hill. If only letters could tell a story. It must have had an exciting time! Ee!
