shedding skins

Hmm. I've just looked through my interests and realised they're out of date. There are things in there that really don't seem to be part of me any more. I think it's time they were pruned a bit.
So what will get the chop?
clairol no. 122: I haven't dyed my hair for nearly three years now. Gosh. Half my hair is brown now, and that's more than half a foot of hair.
ebm: though I still love a few of the bands, I haven't heard an EBM song I liked in quite a while now.
new model army and dream disciples: nor have I listened to either of these in absolutely ages, though I still think they're good.
*stands back and scrutinises the list* Can we say post-goth?
And there's ian mcewan, who gets the boot because I could never get to the end of 'Atonement', even though he messes up the nice post-goth pattern.
Could this be a meme? This is how it could work: choose five interests you'd be willing to get rid of, list them and tell us why. It would be interesting to see how people change.

book reviews: I still like collections of old reviews by a single writer, but new reviews in magazines and newspapers are interesting me less and less. I get a better idea of whether I'll like a book or not from actual real people, or a randomly selected page.
paint charts: Eh. They all have too many pastels.
umlauts: What? Umlauts? What? Also: plural forms? Why?
verdana: No idea what this is doing in there, either. Oh, yes I do - I was writing a story in which all of the characters were named after fonts (Felix and Perpetua Titling, for example), and Verdana was the heroine. I wonder what happened to that. It was rubbish, anyway.
